Reviews

It's been several months since I read "Reflections from a Cinematic Cesspool," this is such great writing and a great experience. I've seen both George and now Mike Kuchar on several occasions, and suffice it to say I am a HUGE fan. The style of this book is hugely personal and just fantastic. Stories range from film school to stars and starlets, animals, the weather, film essays(done Kucharian style,) etc, etc. These guys influenced everything that is avant-garde. This book moved me to tears, which is a hard task. If you love first-person film, and have any interest or exposure to the Kuchars, this is ESSENTIAL reading. It's chock full of luscious photos too! I can't say enough... as my film instructor in Grad school once said, "Kuchar is God!" Buy and enjoy.
